At Rossi, each key is handcrafted. The Nickel Silver tubing is imported from Germany. The keycups are turned on the lathe. After assembling, soldering and copperplating, keys are treated to two hours of silverplating process. This heavy coating will last for years. 

Other keywork aspects of interest: 

· R.H. side trill keys for B and Bb are mounted on independent posts.

· Toneholes of R.H. side trill keys for F# and Eb are safely located out of the path of condensation.

· C# / G# and B / F# toneholes have also been moved out of the path of condensation. 

· Replaceable Delrin inserts at both ends of the keys ensure a smooth, silent action, saving wear and tear on the metal.

·Extra adjusting screws to cut down on cork replacements :

· L.H. E key.

· Bridge between L.H. and R.H. F keys.

· Bridge between L.H. and R.H. rings.

· Bridge between L.H thumb and index rings.

· Extra keys and mechanisms offered include: 

· L.H. Ab / Eb key. 

· Rossi Bb Mechanism.

The Rossi Bb Mechanism has a direct Register Key as in standard clarinet keyworks, but incorporates a vent-hole which opens when Bb is played. Both the vent-hole and the Register Key hole are open for the throat Bb.
