Rossis are available in two  fine hardwoods:

Dalbergia Melanoxylon, known as African Blackwood, Mozambican Ebony or African Grenadilla. This traditional black wood is familiar to all clarinetists.

Dalbergia Stevensonee,Honduran Rosewood, a noble and highly resonant wood also used for Contra-bass clarinets and Marimbas. Somewhat less dense than African Grenadilla, it produces a very sweet sound that is also strong enough to be used in the orchestra.

Rossi Rosewood Clarinets are used by Colin Parr (former principal of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra) and Richard Hancock (principal of the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra). Renowned soloist Paquito D´Rivera also plays Rossi Rosewood clarinets.
